Fire ServiceOxfordshire County Council is reponsible for fire services in Oxford. They offer fire safety advice for the public and training for businesses as well as electric blanket testing, fire safety in schools, and carbon monoxide advice. Carbon MonoxideYou are at risk from carbon monoxide poisoning if a heating appliance in your home is not working correctly. Carbon monoxide can be deadly if inhaled in confined spaces. You are at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if a heating appliance is poorly installed, has not been checked for safety or is not maintained regularly. You can't see, taste or even smell carbon monoxide but it can kill you without warning in a matter of hours. You should have gas appliances safety-checked by a Confederation for the Registration of Gas Installers (CORGI) registered installer at least every 12 months. Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust is responsible for providing urgent health care services outside GP surgery opening times.
