When someone dies, people and organisations need to be told and documents need to be completed. Some of these things can be done by a close relative or friend; others need to be done by the executor or administrator of the estate.

The Registration service in Oxford is run by Oxfordshire County Council. Visit the Registering a Death section of their website for more information. Under normal circumstances, a death must be registered within five days. The registration must take place in the district where the death happened. As Oxfordshire is a single district, this can be at any of the local offices around the county.
