Disabled parking

Oxfordshire County Council is responsible for on-street parking and traffic management. Visit the Parking for Disabled People page of the Oxfordshire County Council website for more information.

Blue Badge parking

Oxfordshire County Council are responsible for administering the Blue Badge Scheme in Oxford.

To apply for a Blue Badge please visit the Blue Badge Parking pages of the Oxfordshire County Council website.

The accessible parking map below shows you where you can park in Oxford with a Blue Badge. This map also shows the accessible toilets in Oxford:

On street pay and display parking bays

Disabled Badge holders are able to park for unlimited periods without charge in on street pay and display and residents' parking spaces.

Parking is usually permitted for up to 3 hours on single or double yellow lines, but some restrictions do apply (for example in loading areas). 

To park in these area a Disabled Blue Badge must be displayed, showing the number and the clock. Refer to guidance issued with the Disabled Badge for details of restrictions.

Other disabled parking

Further disabled parking is available in the central car parks but this must be paid for:

  • Westgate Shopping Centre - Free if using the Shopmobility Scheme
  • Worcester Street  - a small pay and display car park
  • Gloucester Street  - an underground car park not accessible to wheelchair users
  • Broad Street
  • St Giles
  • New Inn Hall Street
