Welcome to Oxford

Disabled parking

There are around 98 disabled parking bays in Oxford, which are provided by the Oxfordshire County Council. To park in these spaces a Disabled (Blue) Badge must be displayed, showing the number and the clock.

Our accessible parking map shows you where you can park in Oxford with a Blue Badge. Please note that this is in the process of being updated and at present shows only 72 spaces. If you require an up-to-date version please contact us using the details on the right of this page and we can send you one in the post. It also shows the accessible toilets in Oxford:

On street pay and display parking bays

Disabled Badge holders are able to park for unlimited periods without charge in on street pay and display and residents' parking spaces. Parking is usually permitted for up to 3 hours on single or double yellow lines, but some restrictions do apply (for example in loading areas). Refer to guidance issued with the Disabled Badge for details of restrictions.

Other disabled parking

Further disabled parking is available at:

  • Westgate Shopping Centre (this is free if you are using the Shopmobility Scheme there)
  • Worcester Street (a small pay and display car park)
  • Gloucester Street (an underground car park not accessible to wheelchair users)

The largest concentration of the disabled pay and display spaces can be found in the car parks in Broad Street, St Giles and New Inn Hall Street.

Disabled (Blue) Badge parking
