Park and Ride Parking Information

Car park charges

Car park opening hours

All Park and Ride sites are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Maximum stays and overnight parking

You can park at Thornhill and Water Eaton for 72 hours (charges apply).

No maximum stay at Seacourt, Pear Tree and Redbridge as you can pay for multiple days' parking.

Parking space availability

Park and Ride car parks are very popular - particularly Thornhill (off the A40 from London) and Seacourt (off the A420 from Swindon and Bath), which are sometimes full by 9am.
 
Check live parking space availability on the Oxfordshire County Council website.
 
There are also live travel signs on the A40 approach to Thornhill which will warn you if that car park is full.

  • Pear Tree: approx 850 cars
  • Redbridge: approx 1250 cars
  • Seacourt: approx 800 cars
  • Thornhill: approx 850 cars
  • Water Eaton: approx 850 cars

Disabled parking spaces

There are disabled parking spaces at all Park and Ride sites. Blue badge holders will still need to purchase a ticket.

Height Restrictions

Park and Ride sites do have height restrictions:

  • Water Eaton and Thornhill have a height restriction of 2.1 metres (6ft 11 inches)
  • Redbridge has a height restriction of 1.9 metres (6ft 3 inches)
  • Seacourt is 2.2 metres (7ft 3 inches)
  • Peartree is 2.3 metres (7ft 6 inches)

Toilets

Redbridge Park and Ride has public toilet facilities which are open from 7.30am to 8pm every day.

Thornhill and Water Eaton Park and Ride sites also have toilet facilities and are operated by Oxfordshire County Council.

Pear Tree and Seacourt do not have public toilet facilities.
