Changes to Administration of Free Bus Passes from 1 April 2012

From the 1 April 2012 when you qualify for a bus pass you will need to make your application directly with Oxfordshire County Council.

To apply online (form 1 April 2012) and for more information please visit the Oxfordshire County Council website.

If you have a current pass it will still be valid and you will automatically be reissued with a new pass by Oxfordshire County Council when your current one expires. You will not have to reapply because of this change from District to County administrative control.

Advice for Customers between 23 March 2012 and 1 April 2012

On Thursday 22 March 2012 Oxford City Council will take the final free bus pass applications from customers.

From Friday 23 March 2012 to 1 April 2012 customers can pick up a County Council application form from our Customer Service Centres:

• St. Aldate's Chambers (opposite the Town Hall) 
• 2/3 Bank Court, Templars Square Shopping Centre, Cowley

Completed County Council application forms will ONLY be accepted by Oxfordshire County Council from 1 April 2012 .

How can I apply for a free bus pass in future?

You will be able to apply in several ways:

• From 1 April 2012 - online from the Oxfordshire County Council website
• By visiting selected libraries and  Oxfordshire County Council building receptions and using a public computer to apply online
• By handing in a paper application form and passport photographs at any library or Oxfordshire County Council building reception including County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1ND
• By paper application form and passport photographs directly to the Oxfordshire Customer Service Centre, ENCTS, PO Box 842, Oxford OX1 9LL

If you don't have access to a computer, you will be able to apply online from selected libraries and Oxfordshire County Council building receptions where staff will be able to help you if you get stuck or are unsure of what to do.
