Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment

We have produced a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) which provides information on the opportunities that exist to meet housing need within Oxford. We intend to update the SHLAA on a regular basis.

The SHLAA does not allocate land for development but merely undertakes a technical exercise on the availability of land in Oxford. The information in the SHLAA informs the Core Strategy DPD. 

In November 2006 we produced a draft methodology.

In August 2008 we produced the final SHLAA. We consulted on the SHLAA during September/October 2008 at the same time as the Core Strategy.

In April 2009 we produced an update to the SHLAA to accompany the Proposed Changes to the Submission Core Strategy.

In December 2009 we produced a further update to incorporate housing monitoring data from 2008/09.

In December 2010 we produced a further update to incorporate housing monitoring data from 2009/10.
