Personal Search Requests

Any person may carry out a personal search of the Local Land Charges Register. We offer three options for carrying out a personal search:

Free inspection of printed extracts
Collection of printed extracts for a fee
Visitless option of emailed extracts for a fee

It is important to note that an Official Certificate of Search is not issued by the Council in respect of information obtained for a personal search.

Guidelines to carrying out a personal search:

telephone or email us using the details in the 'Contact Us' menu at the top of the page and we will endeavour to meet your request
if you make an appointment, we will require contact details of the individual or company carrying out the search
having made an appointment, a plan clearly identifying the area to be searched against should be emailed to us. Your plan should arrive no later than 24 hours before your appointment time
please note: we reserve the right to rearrange the appointment depending on the complexity of the site

The Local Land Charges Section will be the 'One Stop Shop' for any personal search applicants wishing to access compiled or uncompiled data for the purpose of answering the enquiries on the CON29(R) form.

Please confirm enquiries for which you require access to compiled or uncompiled data when making your appointment or emailing your plan.
