Oxford's Christmas Market will take place in Broad Street this year for two weeks.
The market, which takes place from Friday 13 December to Sunday 22 December 2013, will consist of approximately 40 festive decorated stalls offering Christmas gifts.
You will be able to buy Christmas decorations and stocking fillers to cater for all ages and tastes, as well as buy delicious food and drink.
Nicole Rahimi, Oxford's Christmas Market Organiser, says: "I am over the moon about the decision by Oxford City Council to grant the Oxford Christmas Market permission for Broad Street this year.
"This happy outcome was supported by the 1200 people who signed the petition for an Oxford Christmas Market to take place this year.
"I am very pleased that the Oxford Christmas Market will be part of this year's Oxford’s Christmas celebrations and look forward to working together with the Council and its partners to create an unforgettable festive experience for the people of Oxford and its visitors this year and hopefully in years to come."
Ceri Gorton, Cultural Development Manager at Oxford City Council, says: "We are planning to celebrate Oxford's Christmas by showcasing the great cultural activity going on in the city across the festive season.
"Oxford's Christmas Market is a wonderful addition to this season and we look forward to working with the organiser."
Local choirs and bands performing Christmas carols will be invited to add to the festive atmosphere throughout the market's 10 days.
The market takes place from Friday 13 December until Sunday 22 December 2013 with approximately 40 stalls in Broad Street.
