Free StreetSports sessions at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre
Free StreetSports activities open to young people aged between 11 to 19 years are being provided at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre.
The sessions start on Friday 14 December 2012 and run for twelve weeks. The activities on offer include Skater Hockey, Basketball, Badminton, Self-Defence, Judo and much more. The sessions run from 7pm until 9pm.
Sessions are free to attend and will be delivered by the Council's StreetSports Team. No booking is necessary, spaces are limited and people are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Sessions will be led by qualified StreetSport leaders who previously attended sessions themselves and have now completed training to deliver them.
- 7 - 8pm - self defence for young women (11 - 19 year olds)
- 8 - 9pm - open sports sessions for all 11 - 19 year olds. Sports include skater hockey, football, dodgeball, cricket and basketball.
