The Customer Service Centre in St Aldate's will be officially opened by Councillor Val Smith, Board Member for Customer Services on Monday 19 December 2011 at 4pm.
The centre has already been open for three months after undergoing a refurbishment and now provides residents with access to a wide range of council services including housing benefits, planning, Council Tax, housing enquiries, recycling and waste and environmental health matters.
It has bought together two customer reception points to help customers deal with all their enquiries in one building.
The centre is lighter and brighter and has two dedicated self service areas which have several computers so that people can access our online services as well as private interview rooms.
Councillor Val Smith, Board Member for Customer Services, says: "The new centre looks fantastic and provides residents with access to a wide range of council services.
"I think everyone will agree that this is a fantastic improvement to the old centre.
"It also offers people the opportunity to drop in to the centre and access our website which has many online forms on it which can help with people’s queries and questions.
"This can help with reducing the time people may wait to see a customer services advisor and makes it easier for them to access the services that they need quickly and efficiently."
Oxford City Council's website offers you easy access to our services 24 hours a day.
There are other services available online. Visit our Do It Online pages which provide further links to these and other online services.
