Over 50s can try the latest keep fit dance craze Zumba at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre.
Oxford City Council in partnership with Fusion Lifestyle have been successful in securing funding from the Age UK, Fit as a Fiddle programme to hold an eight week programme of Zumba classes.
Zumba Gold is a fun, aerobic dance session that caters for all abilities, the steps are easy and you don't need a dancing partner.
Classes are free, participants must be 50 years and over and should contact Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre for details.
The classes are being held every Thursday at 11am until mid April.
Other Fit as a Fiddle programmes running in Oxford City Leisure Centres include free badminton at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre and free swimming lessons at Ferry Leisure Centre, Barton Leisure Centre, Blackbird Leys Pool and Temple Cowley Pools.
Councillor Mark Lygo, Board Member for Sport, Play & School Liaison, says: "These sessions are excellent for people to try out Zumba and see if they like it before they commit to classes.
"The Fit as a Fiddle programme is an excellent way to get the over 50s involved in exercise as well as trying out new classes."
