The park opened in 1934 after the land was presented to the City by Councillor F.E. Moss in memory of his sister Florence.

Book Tennis Courts Online
It is now easy to book tennis courts online before you come to the park. This is a great way to make sure one will be free for your match. You can book in minutes from your mobile, tablet or computer.
If you forget to book before you arrive at the park, the easiest option is to quickly use your mobile phone to reserve one of the available courts. You can also check availability and pay at the Kiosk if you do not have an internet-enabled phone with you.
Play friendly competitive matches in the Oxford Tennis League.
There are four 8-week rounds a year and men & women (18+) of all standards are very welcome to join.

We recently awarded a contract to San Remo Catering who have done a fantastic job in renovating the kiosk within the park, providing a welcoming space for the community.

Florence Park was recently awarded a Green Flag Award from the Keep Britain Tidy scheme. The Green Flag Award is the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales. The award scheme began in 1996 as a means of recognising and rewarding the best green spaces in the country.
