The park opened in 1934 after the land was presented to the City by Councillor F.E. Moss in memory of his sister Florence.

Oxford City Council is working with Premier Tennis throughout the year to offer low-cost coaching for all ages and stages on Oxford's public tennis courts.
Adult and junior coaching is taking place at Florence Park on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. For more details visit the Tennis Oxford website or call Joe on 07814 406987.

Florence Park was recently awarded a Green Flag Award from the Keep Britain Tidy scheme. The Green Flag Award is the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales. The award scheme began in 1996 as a means of recognising and rewarding the best green spaces in the country.
