Bury Knowle Park

The park is in Headington, next to the A420 London Road. The postcode is OX3 9HX (directions).

What can I do there?

The park was developed in 1930 after the Council purchased Bury Knowle House and its grounds from Henry Beaufoy. It offers a wide range of activities including:

• Headington Library
• children's play area
• tennis courts
• mini golf
• sensory garden for the visually impaired
• the wheel of hope sculpture
• the Storybook tree

A kiosk is situated in the park and provides:

• refreshments and ice creams
• tennis court bookings
• mini golf equipment hire

When is it open?

Bury Knowle Park is open 24 hours a day.

Play Area Refurbishment

The new play area is now complete, and children of all ages have been enjoying the new equipment and landscaping. Features include:
sand pits

• pirate play feature
• zipwire
• climbing rocks and timber frames
• Narnia inspired springers
• range of swings

Health Walks in Oxford

Whether you are a keen walker or you are considering starting some gentle exercise, why not join our walk leaders on a lead walk in the City.

The 'Let the Good Times Stroll' health walks take place on:

• Fridays in Bury Knowle Park, meeting at the library for a 10am start (wheelchair/pushchair accessible).
• Wednesdays in Hinksey Park, meeting at the tennis courts for a 10am start (wheelchair/pushchair accessible).
