Local Medical Advice

How do I find information about my local health services?

You can search for doctors, opticians, dentists, hospitals, pharmacies and walk-in centres in your local area on the NHS Choices website.

You can also find in-depth information about illnesses and treatments from the Health A-Z pages of the NHS Choices website.

NHS Choices is a service that aims to put you at the centre of your healthcare. It has been developed to help you make choices about your health, from lifestyle decisions about things like smoking, drinking and exercise, through to the practical aspects of finding and using NHS services should you need them.

Where can I get trustworthy advice about my medical concerns?

NHS Direct deliver telephone and e-health information services day and night direct to the public. Visit the NHS Direct website or phone 08 45 46 47 to ask any health related enquiry 24-hours a day.
