Oxford Direct Services undertakes the repair and maintenance of Oxford City Council's housing stock and has over 20 years' experience of completing responsive repairs, planned maintenance schedules and property improvements to over 7,500 properties.
We understand the importance of receiving a repair service that is tailored to meet your needs, and we work with both public and private sector organisations carrying out building works, refurbishments, general maintenance, gas servicing, maintenance and installations, electrical works and a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year emergency call out service across all trades.
We can provide a wide range of services for landlords and letting agents from planned and cyclical works, voids management and responsive repairs to electrical installations, gas servicing and welfare adaptations.
We offer a full range of appointments to help meet your needs and have our own comprehensive in-house stores ensuring continuity of service for our customers. We deliver our services through a field-based workforce covering all trade types. Our operatives are equipped with fully stocked vehicles, so they can deal with most calls in a single visit.
We can offer a repair service to suit your needs including across all trade services. No matter what your requirements, our specialist team can design and deliver a tailored service that suits your organisation perfectly.
We are able to offer electrical rewires and Installation Condition Reports (EICR), perfect for landlords with multiple properties to maintain. Our Electricians are qualified to 17th Edition BS7671:2008 wiring regulations and we are registered and recognised by the NICEIC as an approved contractor and domestic installer (Part P).
NICIEC is a government backed organisation set up to make sure that Electricians comply with safety standards and building regulations. NICEIC inspectors regularly check our work for compliance with quality regulations.
We can offer a comprehensive range of gas repair, annual servicing, landlord certificates and installation services, including individual gas appliances from cookers, gas fires and individual boiler replacements to full gas central heating installations.
As a fully accredited Gas Safe registered organisation, all work is carried out to the highest standards by our fully qualified 'Gas Safe' registered engineers. We guarantee that all works comply with legislative requirements, ensuring your complete peace of mind and legal gas compliance.
We operate a in-house gas quality control function, and can offer an independent gas quality control service if required.
We operate an in house joinery shop that designs and produces timber windows, doors and frames, staircases and bespoke joinery at our local depot in Oxford.
We understand the need for a high quality service and we pride ourselves on a high standard of customer care.
Our team of directly employed local craftspeople (including gas engineers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, joiners, glaziers, decorators, plasterers, roofers, bricklayers, ground workers and drain workers) have a wealth of experience and receive regular operational, technical and safety training to ensure they have the skills to deliver a first class service.
We are able to offer a 24 hour emergency call out service across all trades, 365 days a year.
Our success in delivering the Government's Decent Homes target demonstrates our experience of completing major repair works including extensive kitchen and bathroom replacement, heating upgrades and the redecoration of external and communal areas.
We have experienced and trained operatives to carry out various DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) works and an Occupational Therapist who can evaluate individual needs. Examples of adaptations that are carried out include;
