Building Maintenance Service
Oxford Direct Services undertakes the repair and maintenance of Oxford City Council's housing stock and have over 20 years experience of completing responsive repairs, planned maintenance schedules and property improvements to over 7,500 properties.
We understand the importance of receiving a repairs service that is tailored to meet your needs and we work with both public and private sector organisations carrying out building works, refurbishments, general maintenance, gas servicing, maintenance and installations, electrical works and a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year emergency call out service across all trades.
We can provide a wide range of services for landlords and letting agents from planned and cyclical works, voids management and responsive repairs to electrical installations, gas servicing and welfare adaptations.
We offer a full range of appointments to help meet your needs and have our own comprehensive in house stores ensuring continuity of service for our customers. We deliver our services through a field based workforce covering all trade types. Our operatives are equipped with fully stocked vehicles so they can deal with most calls in a single visit.
We are sorry that we can't currently offer Building Maintenance Services to private residents (with the exception of disabled adaptations and joinery).
Services Offered
We can offer a repair service to suit your needs including across all trade services. No matter what your requirements our specialist team can design and deliver a tailored service that suits your organisation perfectly.
Electrical compliance, inspections and installations
We are able to offer electrical re-wires and Installation Condition Reports (EICR), perfect for landlords with multiple properties to maintain. Our Electricians are qualified to 17th Edition BS7671:2008 wiring regulations and we are registered and recognised by the NICEIC as an approved contractor and domestic installer (Part P).
As a fully accredited NICEIC organisation we guarantee all works comply with legislative requirements, ensuring your complete peace of mind.
Gas servicing, maintenance and installations
We can offer a comprehensive range of gas repair, servicing (CP12s) and installation services including gas central heating, perfect for landlords with multiple properties.
All work is carried out to the highest standards by a fully qualified National Gas Safe Registered technician. As a fully accredited Gas Safe Registered organisation we guarantee all works comply with legislative requirements, ensuring your complete peace of mind and legal gas compliance.
Joinery
We operate an in house joiner's shop that designs and produces timber windows, doors and frames, staircases and bespoke joinery at our local depot in Oxford.
Responsive and emergency repair works in all disciplines
We understand the need for a high quality service and we pride ourselves on a high standard of customer care.
Our team of directly employed local craftspeople (including gas engineers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, joiners, glaziers, decorators, plasterers, roofers, bricklayers, ground workers and drain workers) have a wealth of experience and receive regular operational, technical and safety training to ensure they have the skills to deliver a first class service.
Subject to contract, we are able to offer a 24 hour emergency call out service across all trades, 365 days a year.
Property refurbishment, planned and cyclical works
Our success in delivering the Government's Decent Homes target demonstrates our experience of completing major repair works including extensive kitchen and bathroom replacement, heating upgrades and the redecoration of external and communal areas.
Welfare adaptations and Disability Discrimination Act works
We have experienced and trained operatives to carry out various DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) works and an Occupational Therapist who can evaluate individual needs. Examples of adaptations that are carried out include;
- Over-bath showers
- Level access showers
- Access ramps
- Stair-lifts
- Grab-rails
Void management
We can offer a complete void management service carrying out all aspects of void refurbishment and modernisation, including inspections, repairs, and gas and electrical safety certificates.
This service offers a first-class service for landlords and letting agents with empty properties around Oxford.
Gutter clearance
Oxford Direct Services can provide a fast, efficient gutter clearance service for commercial buildings throughout the Oxfordshire area. Whether you are looking for a one-off clean or an annual gutter maintenance contract we can offer a local service tailored to meet your needs.
We can repair existing guttering as well as carrying out new installations and high-level cleaning using our mobile work platforms. We are able to carry out these services on ground, first and second floor buildings. We are currently unable to carry out works on those buildings which are higher than two storeys above ground level.
