The Payments Section deal with payments coming into the City Council from a variety of sources and allocate them to the correct accounts.
The payments team also deal with queries regarding tracing payments, problems relating to the automated phone line and queries about web payments.
Members of the public can make payments to us in a number of ways and at a variety of locations:
By Phone:
- You can pay by debit card using the automated telephone payment service
- Please phone Oxford (01865) 252609
- This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Have your debit card and bill details ready when using this service
Via the Web:
- Payment can be made via the internet on our Pay It page.
By Post:
- Please do not send cash by post.
- Make cheques payable to 'Oxford City Council' and write your invoice number/s on the back of the cheque.
- If you require a receipt please include a stamped address envelope
- Post dated cheques will not be accepted

- You can pay with cash at any PayPoint using the barcode on the front of your invoice.
- More than one receipt will be given for the transaction if the value is £250 or more.
- Please allow 7 - 10 days for your payment to reach us.
