City Council Election Results 2012

The City Council elections took place on Thursday 3 May 2012. Results were made available late on 3 May/early in morning on 4 May 2012 on our Election Results page.

Election of a Police and Crime Commissioner for the Thames Valley

On Thursday 15 November 2012, there will be the first election of a Police and Crime Commissioner for the area covered by the Thames Valley Police, i.e. Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

It is anticipated that the count will take place on the following day, Friday 16 November 2012.

Please note that:

  • More information on this election will be provided from summer 2012 onwards.
  • In the meantime, information about the creation and role of Police and Crime Commissioners is available from the Home Office website.
  • Persons interested in standing for election as Police and Crime Commissioner will need to liaise with the Police Area Returning Officer for the Thames Valley. Information on this will be provided when it has been confirmed.
