Council Tax is a property-based tax which is payable on most domestic properties. A domestic property is usually a house or a flat, but it also means other types of property where people can live, such as a houseboat or a caravan.
Some of the Council Tax that we collect is kept to help to pay for the services which we provide. The remainder is collected on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council, Thames Valley Police, and in some cases the parish councils.
For individual account enquiries, please contact us on 01865 249811. Our phone service is available from 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday.

Local residents have alerted us to a scam in which bogus callers have been trying to obtain bank details by claiming they're from our Council Tax office.
The caller claims that the information is required so they can make a refund, or to check that payments have been received. There have even been some cases of visitors calling at people's homes and trying the same scam.
We will never contact you in this way to ask for this sort of information. If you receive such a call or visit, then please do not disclose any information.
Our advice is to always keep your bank and credit card details safe and never give out your PIN number.
If you are unsure if a caller is genuine, ask them for their name, job title and extension number and call the Council switchboard on 01865 249811.
Anyone who believes they may have been contacted by a bogus caller should report this to Consumer Direct who are a government funded body that co-ordinate information about scams of this sort.
