Profile of the Oxford Science Park

Located near the A34, three miles from the city centre, Oxford Science Park is a joint venture between Magdalen College, Oxford and the Prudential Assurance Company. It provides an ideal opportunity for businesses in a quality environment, with formal and operational links with Oxford's universities and other major centres of research.

The Science Park is designed to encourage the formation and development of knowledge-based businesses and other innovative companies and has a management function which is actively engaged in the transfer of technology and business skills to companies. It has been designed to encourage innovators from both academic and non-academic backgrounds to concentrate on providing and developing products and services. They are assisted by the provision of shared facilities which include:

• conference facilities
• a restaurant

The Park provides 58,000 square feet sub-divided for occupation by businesses which may either be start-ups or in the early stages of growth. It also features high quality serviced office accommodation, operated by MWB Business Exchange. The Magdalen Centre also provides second stage accommodation for businesses.

The majority of occupiers are active in the computer software and hardware, and bioscience sectors.
